GTOO Media has been awarded a 2009 Silver Telly Award for “Life of a Recording: Herbie Hancock".
The film, "Life of a Recording - Herbie Hancock," is a feature exhibit program at the Grammy Museum, which opened in December 2008 in Los Angeles, California. This multi-screen presentation reveals the creative story behind the recording of this Grammy Award winning “Album of the Year”, the first Jazz record to win this honor in more than 43 years. Producer Michael Buday wove together first hand accounts of Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, Wayne Shorter, Dave Holland, and Lionel Loueke as they explained their artistic process and musical craft embodied on this 2007 recording.

The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work - entries do not compete against each other - rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of a Silver Telly, our highest honor.
